The exercises performed during the class are safe for all 3 trimesters of pregnancy, all fitness levels are encouraged and no previous yoga experience is required.
The sessions consist of various breathing techniques, Kegel exercises to develop the pelvic floor muscles, stretching those parts of the body that are most often affected during pregnancy, with an emphasis on the neck, shoulders, back, hips, legs, calf muscles and feet.
Classes will also include yoga poses (asanas) for strengthening the whole body with an emphasis on the main muscles: the pelvic floor, thighs, legs and gluteus muscles. Classes will end with savasana, instructor-led meditation, special breathing, affirmations and mantras to create self-awareness and tranquility.
