What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a treatment used to renew the skin tone and texture of patients’ skin. The procedure removes the outer layer of the patients’ skin by using a special applicator that is applied to the abrasive surface of the skin. The feeling may appear scratchy at first, but the feeling is comparable to a deep massage later on in the treatment. The device effectively sands down the skin so that the new skin is visible.
